Hmmm, i tried to avoid it, but i looked at it. Is it possible, that there are not enough resources or that you exceed some limit. What does "ulimit -a" or "swap -l" report ? Are there "strange" messages in /var/adm/messages ? I tried the last version on a SPARC, and it worked - but it was not installed by a bootstrap.sh... What compiler did you use for the bootstrap ?
