Your machine has no Pseudo Random Number Generator (PRNG) or the existing PRNG has no entropy source or the entropy source doesn't provide any data. Make sure a /dev/random or at least /dev/urandom exists. For FreeBSD configure rand_irqs in /etc/rc.conf.
You guys rock!! Thanks Ralf!! Added the following to /etc/rc.conf:
bash-2.05b# grep rand /etc/rc.conf rand_irqs="YES"
...and all is well now:
bash-2.05b# /openpkg/bin/openpkg rpm -Uvh bind-9.3.0-2.2.0.ix86-freebsd4.7-openpkg.rpm
