I did not put much effort into it sofar and simply compiled this single package on a IA32 architecture machine. This is a pure compile time issue not a runtime issue as gmp tries to figure out the architecture independend on how the os is configured. IIRC the gmp developers are aware of the problem (it is in their bugtracker) and I assume that a newer version does not have the problem anymore.
