Mainly because it is not required within OpenPKG itself (no other
CORE or BASE class packages requires it) and it just increases the
GCC package build-time even more. And until GCC 4.1 the whole GCC
Java support was rather unstable and incomplete, too. But you can
easily enable Java support (the same way you can do it for the other
languages like Objective-C and Fortran) with the build-time option
"with_java=yes".
