...everything was built fine but the RPM and bzip2 commands seem to
not run correctly. I'm not aware of French or whatever locale you have
set, so I don't know what the output "Tué" means, but I guess it is
something like "core dump", isn't it? At least it is rather strange that
both RPM (very complex program) and bzip2 (a simple program) fail with
the same error. So I think either the Freeware compiler chain is broken
on your platform or a disk is full or something else locally broken.
My recommendation is to remove all Freeware stuff and start over from
scratch with OpenPKG "openpkg", "make", "binutils" and "gcc" binary
packages for sparc64-solaris9 (e.g. from OpenPKG 2.5). Then use this
stuff under /openpkg to rebuild everything for OpenPKG 2.20060622 from
source.
