To expand a macro you can use the 'openpkg rpm --eval' command, in your
case
$ openpkg rpm --eval '%{l_platform -t}'
Using the definitions in etc/openpkg/rpmmacros, which are rather complex
in the case, this expands to the output of
shtool platform -n -L -S "" -C "+" -F "%<at>-%<st>"
