No official plans exist as this is a company internal project to
_evaluate_ the use of OpenPKG to simplify the installation of custom
software on our AIX installations.

While I don't anticipate any problems in making the binaries we build
available "outside" that would first have to be discussed
internally. What I'm not sure about is whether this can be done from
a company site or as I did for some of the 2.4 RPMS I built
previously by me on a more personal basis.

Doug may have his own ideas about this as he appears to have made the
most progress with AIX.

Shame we can't get someone from IBM involved. They do provide some
official (standard rpm v3) RPMs for AIX but not as many as are
available in OpenPKG and if Doug is able to get OpenPKG 2-STABLE built
on 4.3.3 to 5.3 then this potentially opens up extra packages on a
wider variety of IBM hardware.

Regards,

Simon
