I've switched from 3.0.24 to 3.0.25 myself a few days ago and I at least
had to restart Samba twice and then explicitly unmount an remount my
home directory "share" on my Vista box in order to again being able to
access it correctly. It was not able to automatially reconnect. But
after this procedure everything worked just fine again. I've not made
any local changes to my Samba configuration and also the package default
configuration has not changed.
According to the Samba 3.0.25a release notes this has been fixed...
