According to AIS CPROC, it stated:

AIS Services use LDAP distinguished names (DNs) to name objects in the SA
Forum
Information Model. These DNs are used in runtime APIs, administrative APIs,
and
alarms and notifications to refer, as appropriate, to a managed object or
to the logical
    entity that the object represents.
These LDAP DNs follow UTF-8 encoding conventions described in [15].

    [15] IETF RFC 2253 (http://www.ietf.org/rfc/rfc2253.txt)

And

Only printable Unicode characters must be used in LDAP names

Space chracter belongs to printable character set and according to RFC 2253,
space characters should be allowed to present in the RDN.

But when comes to implementation, IMM does not allow spaces in the RDN/DN.
Therefore, this is a non-compliance with the standard and that non-support
should be noted in the PR documentation.
