OpenSAF only supports LSB-compliant Linux distributions, so first of all you need to install Linux on your computer. You have several options here: you can either reinstall your computer (replacing the old OS), install Linux alongside the existing OS (dual boot), or install it in a virtual machine. It is also possible to run Linux on a "live image", which means that you only install it on a bootable USB stick, not on the hard disk. This is probably the easiest option to get started with, but performance will not be that great.
You can download the Ubuntu Linux distribution from the following page: http://www.ubuntu.com/download/desktop regards, Anders Widell 2014-04-08 10:06, Amr Mostafa skrev: > Dears, > I'm new to the openSAF community and I need to install it on Macintosh > platform (MacBook).Unfortunately, I couldn't find any help about installing > it on Macintosh platform and no one had an experience related to it.For your > info, I'm using Mavericks OS X version 10.9.2 with processor 2.9 GHz Intel > Core i7.So please help me! > Thanks in advance. > > > Best regards,Amr Mostafa > ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ > Put Bad Developers to Shame > Dominate Development with Jenkins Continuous Integration > Continuously Automate Build, Test & Deployment > Start a new project now.
