Hi,

My team is not seeing protection group callbacks when a proxied
component in a protection group is restarted, but not by an AMF command.
We see the callback if an AMF (bash issued) command is used to stop or
restart the component, but if the component is shut down by some other
means than AMF then there is no callback, eventhough the proxy issues
and error report to AMF to restart the proxied component. I would have
thought that as soon as the proxy is told to cleanup the proxied
component the protection group would be updated and AMF would make the
appropriate callbacks made to registered components. Shouldn't there
always be some kind of protection group callback made if the tracked
component restarts, even if the restart only takes a second or even less
time? I am wondering if in the proxied component cleanup call it would
help to call the HAreadiness state set function to set the component as
out of service? To me this seems redundant because the component is
obviously being shutdown, but maybe this would help make the protection
group callback happen? Please let me know what I should do.

thanks,
brian
