Hello,
for reboot, I use the opensaf reboot script. As my app is written in python, it
is: os.system("/usr/lib64/opensaf/opensaf_reboot 0")

Thanks for the response Gerald.
On connectivity restore, reboot is done manually? Can you think of any way by
which we can implement this in application?
Thanks,
Nivrutti

Subject: AW: Loss and Restore of connectivity between 2 controllers
Hello,
as far as I know, there is no such auto-correct feature, but may someone knows
better.
I had the same problem. I use the ClusterTrack callback of the CLM service, to
detect if a node has left the cluster. On callback invoke, I check the
connectivity by external scripts/processes. On connectivity restore, I reboot
one of the controller nodes to restore the cluster.
Regards
Gerald

Betreff: [users] Loss and Restore of connectivity between 2 controllers
Hi All,
Need to understand the behavior of openSAF in following case
1. We have 2 servers. On each server there is 1 controller and 4 payloads
VM.
2. All nodes, 2 nodes and 8 payloads are in single opensaf cluster.
3. If the connectivity between 2 server is lost, there are 2 opensaf
clusters, both controllers became ACTIVE with payloads on their server.
4. Now if the connectivity is restored, there are 2 different opensaf
cluster. Is there a way in opensaf to auto-correct this behavior, where 2
clusters should merge into one and assignment of components should be restored.
Thanks,
Nivrutti Kale
