Hi guys, I have been following the directions in the "QuickStart" section on the OpenSC webpage (http://www.opensc-project.org/opensc/wiki/QuickStart ), and I am not able to create a self-signed certificate as described.
Here is the output: OpenSSL> engine dynamic -pre SO_PATH:/opt/ITsmartcard/lib/engines/engine_pkcs11.so -pre ID:pkcs11 -pre LIST_ADD:1 -pre LOAD -pre MODULE_PATH: opensc-pkcs11.so (dynamic) Dynamic engine loading support [Success]: SO_PATH:/opt/ITsmartcard/lib/engines/engine_pkcs11.so [Success]: ID:pkcs11 [Success]: LIST_ADD:1 [Failure]: LOAD 5235:error:260B6091:engine routines:DYNAMIC_LOAD:version incompatibility:eng_dyn.c:400: [Failure]: MODULE_PATH:opensc-pkcs11.so 5235:error:260AC089:engine routines:INT_CTRL_HELPER:invalid cmd name:eng_ctrl.c:136: 5235:error:260AB089:engine routines:ENGINE_ctrl_cmd_string:invalid cmd name:eng_ctrl.c:314: OpenSSL> The error message seems to imply that my version of engine-pkcs11 is incompatible with my version of OpenSC. Is this the problem? I am using opensc-0.11.2, and engine_pkcs11-0.1.4. The library opensc-pkcs11.so is located in /opt/ITsmartcard/lib. Thanks, Siddhartha
