For this card you can get 'tries left' only when wrong value is applied to verify PIN when this PIN is still not locked. You can try it with opensc-explorer: OpenSC [3F00/5015]> apdu 00:20:00:01:06:39:39:39:39:39:39 Sending: 00 20 00 01 06 39 39 39 39 39 39 Received (SW1=0x63, SW2=0xC2) It seems that for this card all PINs are created with 3 tries to verify .
