I do not need prompts of ANY kind other than the ones specified as 
plymouth parameters, otherwise this messes up the plymouth daemon and it 
looks ugly. As I pointed out, a patched version with an additional 
parameter to disable the prompt is what I've done and that does the job 
beautifully.
