I am using Athena ASE smart cards for Windows OS Logon which are initialized with PKCS-15. I am using OpenSC version 12. During testing our engineers have to sometimes have to completely erase and reinitialize a card. The problem is that several of these smart cards are turning up with their security officer PIN being locked due to an incorrect entry 3 times.
