Here's my idea: generalize the whole thing a little. Add a "mask" field
to Background, default value GL_COLOR_BUFFER_BIT|GL_DEPTH_BUFFER_BIT.
While we're at it, add a "clearDepth" and a "clearStencil" field. Change
the existing backgrounds to honor the mask and the default values. This
would remove the need for the DepthClearBackground. It would be a little
more work, but with some convenience functions in Background it would
probably only be 3-4 lines per Background., and it would work for all
backgrounds.
Neato. Why not pitch in "clearColor" as well? :)
Just curious, are there plans for MRTs and would they fit into this as well?
If you want to do it I can commit the patch. I can do it later myself,
but no guarantees on ETA. ;)
Hm. I don't have time to do anything fancy like the above at the moment.
I'll see if I can get by with using what's in there for now. If that
fails, I'll take a look at the Background and see if this is something I
can get done. (I've never coded inside a FieldContainer.. yet. :)
