It's a way to allow things like
GroupPtr ptr;
if(ptr)
{
}
without the danger of going along weird type conversion paths. It works
fine for the normal FCPtrs, so I'm a little confused why it doesn't work
for the RefPtrs, but VS7 and templates is a difficult story anyway.
I've submitted a version that makes the types more specific, which works
fine on my gcc3 system. Can you try that, please?
