Hi again,
I think the binutils were the problem. I found a recommendation to
downgrade to 2.16.1-2 and some hints that gcc 3.3.5 has a bug (?).
But as our admin didn't want to downgrade binutils, I tried gcc 4.1
which works.
So never mind.

Hi Volker,
I had such erros when I linked against an .so file that was compiled
with a slightly different compiler version (3.3.4 vs 3.3.5 AFAIR) on ubuntu.
Googling the error gave me some other hits about a broken
collect2/binutils package causing those errors.

Hi Volker,
hmm never such a kind of error. Works fine on my two 64 bit debian
systems with gcc 3.3.x and gcc 4.0.x.

Hello all,
suddenly I have problems compiling OpenSG on our Debian Linux.
Currently we use
gcc version 3.3.5 (Debian 1:3.3.5-13)
GNU ld version 2.16.91 20060118 Debian GNU/Linux, binutils 2.16.91
flex 2.5.31
bison (GNU Bison) 1.875d
BaseLib is compiled normally, but I can't link the opt version (dbg
is ok) of the SystemLib of OpenSG 1.6, daily snapshot, and get the
following errors:
....
