I can only point you to the three places I found, where they are used in
1.x:

System/FileIO/WRL/OSGVRMLNodeDescs.h:typedef
DynFieldAttachment<GenericAttDesc>  GenericAtt;

System/Image/OSGImageGenericAtt.h:typedef
DynFieldAttachment<ImageGenericAttDesc>  ImageGenericAtt;

System/FieldContainer/testFieldContainer.cpp:    typedef
DynFieldAttachment<DynDesc> DynAtt;

The somewhat tricky part seems to be the correct creation of a
FieldDescription for the dynamically added fields, but these are also
created for any other container so there should be many examples in the
code.
