Hello Josef, > > Wouldn't it be easier to fix it yourself and contribute the patch ? > > Sorry, but no.
maybe a short clarification about my post. Didn't want to upset you, but I feel the need for more people to contribute code, the core team cannot do everything (especially when they have their hands deep into 2.0). > I've not setupped my OS for compiling OpenSG, which is really > complicated on Windows. I'm in a hurry and compiling takes me more > than six hours here. Huh, even on my 2 year old AMD64 3800 it takes only 1.5 hours. Setting up compilation on windows with cygwin and scons is very easy these days (the first time maybe 1-2 hours until you have installed the compiler and Paltform SDK which you may have already installed for your own projects, after that a simple cvs -z6 up -dP followed by ./scons.bat -i is all) and when running on cvs the compile times are mostly only some minutes if nobody has changed OSGConfig.h or similar > Finally I don't think to have enough knowledge > of OpenSG to submit a patch in which trust, as the problem I've > submitted could be also in other classes than PolygonForeground and > needs an expert look at it. Well, even people from the core team have started small. If it is very bad I guess someone will give you a hint how to improve it. And even if it gets rejected there is a plus on knowledge so it can't be bad. > Anyway I'll consider your suggestion for the feature... ;-) Nothing more to add ;-) Best regards Matthias -- +---------------------+----------------------------+ | VREC GmbH | | | Matthias Stiller | | | Robert-Bosch-Str. 7 | tel: +49 6151 4921034 | | 64293 Darmstadt | web: http://www.vrec.de | | Germany | mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] | +---------------------+----------------------------+ ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take Surveys.
