Just a quick update for everyone. Dan (from MLT) informed me the other day that he committed a fix for our transition bugs. This is a bug where the 1st frame of a wipe is already "jumped" into the wipe. It creates the illusion that the wipe jumps into the transition, as opposed to the smoothness of the dissolve.
There have also been lots of emails and commits flying around for AVCHD support in FFmpeg and MLT. So, it looks like they are getting close (if not already there) to fixing the "seeking" of AVCHD encoded files. This is great news. Thanks, -Jonathan
