brilliant work so far and congratulations on reaching V1.0!!
i just wish to add my voice to the non critical issue of representing a visual
audio wave on the timeline. as a music and (amateur/beginner) video producer
being able to match the audio to key frames is very important to me for making
videos to my music. i love the learning process.
also just a big thanks to having added the play video at "whatever" speed,
feature in clip properties. this was what made me choose this project above
many others. enabling me to make time lapse videos from standard footage.
compressing 2 hours into around 7 minutes.
possibly i just dont know how to do it yet, but i would like to create a
transition where, the screen brightness increases until reaching complete
white, and then fade back to normal, into another clip. i envisage this
happening in around 250-500ms.
thanks again.

Bug description:
It would be great to be able to separate audio from video.
It be also be useful to see a visual representation of the material within the
clip ie: a filmstrip for video and a waveform for audio.
I find this feature very useful when using Final Cut but forget buying a mac
I'd rather be using THIS on linux.

1) KARMIC KOALA
2) haven't installed this since I upgraded from jaunty, yesterday, and won't
until my VLC is safe. I'm looking at you PPA
3) was running 0.9.52

THANK YA KINDLY
