In my opinion its enough to use the file path as key and not the file name. Because if it's really the same file, it doesnt have to be stored twice.

Status in OpenShot Video Editor: Confirmed Bug description: I have various files with the name folder.jpg, residing in different folders. Their content is all different. When I import them into OpenShot, although they are correct when I drag them to the timeline, they all get the same Thumbnail in the "Project files" pane. I assume that they are stored there with the file name as key. They should be stored with the complete file path and not just the file name to avoid this.
