I've tested the trunk a few minutes ago and it still has the same problem. Just to make it clear: the problem seems the same, it takes ages to seek the pointer, the conditions are a bit different (my clips are about 30 ".avi" files instead of 100 jpgs), but I suppose the bug is the same. In my case the slowdown happens only after I change anything in the timeline, such as moving a clip, adding/removing a marker and so on.

The CPU is a Dual Core 2GHz (Intel core 2 duo CPU T5870 @ 2GHz). Is that too slow??? I wonder because everything is fine with only a few files.
