Not sure if anyone knew this already, but I learned something tonight. On Ubuntu 10.10 (i.e. FFmpeg 0.6+), OpenShot can now export videos using the new WebM video format created by Google. I have provided instructions on the blog: http://www.openshotvideo.com/2010/09/export-html5-webm-video-format.html. For older versions of Ubuntu, this is not possible. Too bad we didn't create a "WebM" export template before our newest release. Oh well... at least we have posted instructions now.
