Clips and Preview slider disappear and become lost.

Bug description:
The editor frequently has an issue with the preview slider
disappearing. When seeking on the time-line the bar will disappear
and the timer showing the place in the time-line will stop responding.
Video clips will occasionally become lost under other ones or
disappear completely upon moving.
