A recent commit to the trunk now requires the PIL (Python Imaging Library) as a dependency for our Blender integration. In Debian / Ubuntu, the package is called python-imaging. I'll add this to our Debian Packaging dependencies, but just keep this in mind, if all of a sudden OpenShot will no longer start.
