I am not familiar with the change made for 1.2.2-1ubuntu1. I imagine it
had to do with the renaming of python-mlt2 to python-mlt3. If that is
the case, then yes, the change has been made in Debian and is safe to
sync.

Title:
Sync openshot 1.3.0-1 (universe) from Debian unstable (main)

Status in “openshot” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: openshot

Please sync openshot 1.3.0-1 (universe) from Debian unstable (main).

There is a new upstream release of OpenShot (version 1.3.0), and it
needs to be synced to Ubuntu 11.04 (natty).

We do not have a CHANGES file, but here is the a link to our LaunchPad
milestones, which document all the "changes":
  https://launchpad.net/openshot/1.3/1.3.0

The details of our PPA build for Natty, including the buildlog can be found
here:
  https://launchpad.net/~jonoomph/+archive/openshot-edge/+buildjob/2260837

Debian Changelog entries since current version 1.2.2-1:

  openshot (1.3.0-1) unstable; urgency=low

     * New upstream release
