Victor,
Can you share your desktop settings: Such as resolution, icon theme, compiz /
metacity, distrubution... such as Ubuntu and which version, etc... Anything
related to the way your icons, themes, and desktop is using. I will try and
setup the same desktop, and see if I can reproduce the problem.
Also, it would be helpful for you to try and change your theme, icon
theme, compiz to metacity, or metacity to compiz, etc... and see if any
of those things change this behavior in OpenShot.

Bug description:
When starting OpenShot, some of the icons on the toolbar are missing.
They can be brought back by placing the mouse over them, or
(un)maximizing the window. Similarly, this also happens when a pop-up
window appears.
