File managers are nowhere near as productive or useful for managing photos. Shotwell is a good photo manager and is (or will be) the Ubuntu default.
If it is impossible to get the underlying filename in the drag and drop protocol from Shotwell then obviously nothing can be done. But if it can be obtained then this would make Openshot a lot more usable. (Importing photos into openshot when you have several thousand in your library and want to bring in a few hundred for a project is a pain.) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of OpenShot Developers, which is subscribed to OpenShot Video Editor. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/738123 Title: Can't drag and drop images from shotwell Status in OpenShot Video Editor: Invalid Bug description: If I try to drag and drop images from shotwell then it doesn't work. I use shotwell to manage my images. Dragging from shotwell and dropping in the project files area results in the drop being rejected (thumbnail goes back to shotwell). Trying to drop directly into the timeline results in a + overlay on the thumbnail before drop, but nothing happening on mouse release. Ubuntu 10.10 AMD64 openshot and shotwell from author PPAs. OpenShot 1.3.0. Shotwell 0.8.1. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~openshot.developers Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~openshot.developers More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
