Thanks for testing Olivier! How did you upgrade MLT? There is a known issue when upgrading MLT on the newer versions of Ubuntu, which use a libav branch of FFmpeg... or something similar to that. Most users will be using the version of MLT that comes with the distribution.
Can you send a screenshot of the French help menu? and the Fisheye screen? I want to see what is not translated.
