Hi, It looks more a bug of GTK 2/3 on an LiveCD that Openshot himself even I find the version of OS and MLT pretty old. We are using the 1.4.2 (stable) and 1.4.3 (development) with MLT in 0.8.1. Here you are using the 1.4.0 and 0.7.4 (for MLT).
