Hi Diva, The trailing "/" on the assets server uri was hanging me (Linux/32 bit). It was there in the OpenSim.ini.example, so I just pasted my address over the supplied host:port pair. I haven't looked into the source to see what is happening with it (we have a history of inconsistent behavior with trailing slashes on url), but it was a real puzzle for a while.
