I'd like to see one skeleton client stack stay in core as it makes it a lot easier to start a new one rather than studying the LL stack and helps 3rd party client stack developers track changes in the IClientAPI interface. MXPClientView is useful for this but I'm not sure it still works as it hasn't been tested for quite a while.
Perhaps either the HTTP or IRC stacks would be sufficient as a skeleton example.
