oooh great collection on the SL wiki - I had searched the forums, but
didn't think to check the wiki. Any idea how the licensing works on
those? There must be a reason most of these aren't included with
OpenSim - or at least I haven't seen them in the viewer Library.

The OpenSim team is allergic to anything coming from Linden Labs and that collection is the set of built in default animations with the client (you can play any of those by name or key in a script without the animation file in inventory. The client is LGPL now of course but I dont know what license applied to content like this. But I would expect that if they're not included someone on the OpenSim team made the determination not to at some point. A real answer to that would have to come from the dev team.

AnimStreet was very vague about licensing, though the TOS seemed to
indicate a strict blanket copyright over everything on the site.

Thanks for the links! Even the generic ones from the wiki are better
than what I had before. Now to figure out any restrictions on their
use...
