Attachment filtering should now be enabled. Of course, spam text may
still get through but no more annoying attachments.

Hello

I apologize for the off-topic, but I am a member of several email other
lists dealing with technical subjects and this is the only group I am
seeing the attachment weirdness show up on. I'm referring to the
offtopic emails with jpgs attached to them that have been showing up on
this list recently.

Firstly, is it possible to scrub attachments before they're relayed? Can
someone please set that up? I'm using Thunderbird on Linux so I assume
(and it's only an assumption) that any malware would be limited to $HOME
(I'm not an expert, and could easily be wrong) but there are people on
windows etc also getting these messages.

I have to assume that the other lists I'm on get the same spammers, and
since I don't see the messages on them that probably means there's a way
to deal with it.

For the sake of being responsible and not spreading malware, I'd like to
request that if the admins are still extant they look into filtering out
binary attachments. There are alternatives (pastebin, dropbox, imgur)
that can be used to fit any tech support needs.

Thank you for taking the time to read this, and again I apologize for the OT
