In our test environment we are running slpd on TCP. I was told
that DA starts to respond to requests rather slow. After sometime the response
takes around 30sec or more. This goes on until the point the slpd crashes.
On restarting its all fine but over the period of time this problem is
observed. The team reports that they are able to see any established
connections to 427 using netstat. The slpd code has a method to close or clean
up sockets not used for long time, but still this is observed. I have not seen
the issue myself, iam trying to test it. Are people aware of this? anyone
running slpd on tcp in their environment? One thing to note is the UA in this
case is not slptool. They are using some java based UA. Is there anyway to
force slptool to use tcp instead of udp?
