I've been playing with Facebook Apps in the last week and I've hit a problem with context. Facebook has two contexts for Apps
For a user who has added your application 1) A summary box on the owner's profile page. This is viewable by the Owner looking at their own profile and by a viewer looking at the profile. It typically has no interaction. It's static text (which may be updated in the background) 2) A full page display viewable by the owner only. It may allow UI interaction by the owner. If a Visitor attempts to view this page, they are encouraged to add the app to their own profile and play with it there. I'm finding this limiting. I want an Owner to be able to add the app to their profile and for visitors to then be able to interact with the full page display. Are OpenSocial Apps expected to work in a similar way to Facebook? Or in a more, or less, limited way? -- Julian Bond E&MSN: julian_bond at voidstar.com M: +44 (0)77 5907 2173 Webmaster: http://www.ecademy.com/ T: +44 (0)192 0412 433 Personal WebLog: http://www.voidstar.com/ skype:julian.bond?chat Get _Sirius_ in 2008 --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "OpenSocial API Definition" group.
