i'm trying to get it for both. in fact, i copied the code in the example at the bottom of this page (http://code.google.com/apis/opensocial/articles/firstgadget/firstgadget-0.6.html) to test and it didnt work. it should grab the profile url for the viewer and all of his friends, but instead i get null back for all the urls!
