Thanks for your help, I choosed the second option to install it as Root.war. It works fine. I could launch the samplecontainer.
There are a few things, I did not really understand by now. Now, that I have installed the shindig server, my server is able to host opensocial gadgets. But what do I have to do to server as an opensocial container where Gadgets can ask for profile info? Actually I am working on my Bachelor thesis, where I want to enable an existing community application to serve as a OpenSocial container. I belief, I think I must implement some methods for receiving profile data or the members of a group, etc. Has anybody any ideas where I find information about this?
