Hi! First things first: please try clearing your browser's cache. Although this may be your first experience with the API, your browser may have cached an older implementation of the API if you signed into the orkut sandbox previously. You may also try appending &bpc=1 to your URL to force a server-side cache refresh.
If neither of these suggestions help, please reply with a link to your application's XML and I'll help you debug further.
