Zones are one of the greatest features of Solaris 10. The purpose of the Zone Manager project is to greatly simplify zones creation and management. Toward that end, it is with great delight that today Zone Manager version 1.8 is ready for general use.
Zone Manager version 1.8 fixed some bugs and introduced many new features including the following: * Added ability to modify existing zone properties. * Added ability to add properties such as network address, filesystem, ... etc to an existing zone. * Added support for zfs filesystems in non-global zone. * Added support for CPU resource control. * Expanded hardening methods to include Secure by Default, JASS, and site profiles. * Enhanced copy function and enabled it to occur before the first boot of the zone or after the last boot of the zone creation process. * Added support for Solaris privileges. * Added support to move a zone from one directory to another. * Added support to clone a zone. * Added support to detach a zone from one server and attach it to another server. * Switched from CDDL license to GPLv2.
