Our next meeting is going to be held jointly by the Front Range Unix User Group (FRUUG) and FROSUG! This is a first for FROSUG and we are excited to be able to work with FRUUG.
Our speaker will be Sam Falkner. Sam has worked at Sun Microsystems since 1992. He has worked on backup software, CacheFS, UFS, back-end service tools, and NFS. Lately, he has devoted some time to writing a DTrace provider for NFSv4. Sam will be presenting an overview of Dtrace, a facility of OpenSolaris that has received considerable attention. This talk will explain what DTrace is (as well as what it is not). DTrace will be covered from the point of view of a kernel developer, programming language implementor, application developer, system administrator, and casual user of OpenSolaris.
