Michelle Olson announced [1] the latest drop from the docs consolidation,
including the addition of an IP Services system administration guide among other
changes.

Jim Grisanzio announced [2] the launch of the Japanese portal for
opensolaris.org [3], representing the first locale specific portal to be set up
under the Portals project [4].

Mark Maybee announced [5] a delay in the latest Solaris Express Community
Edition, due to a bug in ZFS which could cause corruption in ZFS pools under
certain circumstances. He mentioned that build 58 of SXCE would be skipped in
preferance for build 59 which contained this important fix.

14th February.

Al Hopper posted [12] his initial set of questions for a test poll on the new
election software, which Roy Fielding suggesting [13] that they be shortened in
length. Al also posted [14] an initial revision of the election schedule,

draft poll.opensolaris.org voting setup, and followed up [17] saying that he had
loaded it with the current set of membership data, and released the code [18]

Alan Coopersmith mailed [19] asking whether CD images were of future benefit for
Solaris Nevada, based on internal discussions due to changes in the way install
images were being built. Moinak Ghosh replied [20], among other opinions, to say
that this would significantly impact the deployment in India mentioning that
many individuals and colleges were likely to only have CDROM drives rather than
DVD. Ignacio Marambio Catan replied [21] that it would have an impact in most
third world countries, though mentioned that the existing 512MB RAM requirement
was also a significant limiting factor.

registry contents, set of CLIs and a web-based browser tool to access event
