OpenSolaris FROSUG Meeting August 30th 2007 (New Solaris Installer)

This months FROSUG (Front Range OpenSolaris User Group) meeting is on
Thursday, August 30th 2007. Sarah Jelinek will give a presentation on
the New Solaris Installer (OpenSolaris Project Caiman). Along with that
we will have people on hand to help you install Solaris or help with any
issues you may have.

About the presentation:

Sarah will be talking about the New Solaris Developer Express installer
which is a firstin a series of install related improvements for
OpenSolaris. She will also be covering the OpenSolaris install roadmap.

About our presenter:

Sarah Jelinek is a Staff Engineer in the Solaris Kernel Networking
organization.  She has been a software engineer for 14 years and has
worked at Sun Microsystems for 7 years. At Sun she has worked on systems
management and file system management applications and in the file
system kernel space in UFS. She also has many years of Java development
experience in Graphical User Interfaces and system management API's.
Prior to Sun she worked at CrosStor Software, a startup now owned by
EMC, on their Network Attached Storage (NAS) product. She is currently
the technical lead for the New Solaris Installer project,
phase 1, code named Dwarf Caiman.
