Hi,

A new release of BeleniX, version 0.4 is out with new features:

* The most significant is the addition of on-the-fly decompression support
to the lofi kernel module using zlib and very little kernel memory
requirement.
This allows packing in 1.5 GB of opensource software under /usr with
space
   for more.
* The introduction of compression has significantly reduced time required to
   boot into a graphical desktop.
* The LiveCD now includes the latest KDE 3.5.1 and Koffice 1.5 beta in
addition to Xfce. Qt has been built with support for Font Antialiasing.
* Placement of files for Xfce and KDE on the CDROM has been optimized
with the help of DTrace (iosnoop.d) and "-sort" option to mkisofs. This
results in shorter KDE startup time.

I addition I am in the process of putting up the LiveCD creation scripts
, build environment and documentation in public CVS. This is not yet
complete but you can look at some of scripts here:

CVSROOT=:pserver:anonymous at cvs.belenix.sarovar.org:/cvsroot/belenix
export CVSROOT

cvs -z3 co livecdtools

Regards,
Moinak.
