That assumption is actually an imported interface. I believe that path_to_inst is Uncommitted. As long as this script is delivered from the same consolidation as the other parsers of that file (ON), that shouldn't be a problem. (The generation of the 'failsafe' archive is shrouded in cross-consolidation mystery, but I suspect that hiding this script away in /usr/platform should be sufficient to get it included.
