Can you explain how this project relates to PSARC 2004/824? That case also aimed to deliver a driver by the name "ixge" for Intel 10Gb Ethernet interfaces. Is this case a duplicate? Does it supersede or obsolete the previous one? (I had thought that the earlier project had shipped even though ARC review never completed -- I've heard from customers using it.) > Intel has software license agreement with Sun to allow Sun integrate > this driver and distribute the software in both source, and binary > object code forms. Not an ARC issue, but I hope these agreements are being reviewed by the OpenSolaris team. An agreement that allows only Sun to make changes or redistribute would be problematic and might require additional infrastructure work. -- James Carlson, Solaris Networking <james.d.carlson at sun.com> Sun Microsystems / 35 Network Drive 71.232W Vox +1 781 442 2084 MS UBUR02-212 / Burlington MA 01803-2757 42.496N Fax +1 781 442 1677
