I'll let Shiv answer the first two (FWIW, when I install expect from the existing open-source, it installs the actual library as libexpect5.43.so with no symlinks to a versioned library.) As for the latter question, there is a libexpect.3 man page in the materials directory. http://www.opensolaris.org/os/community/arc/caselog/2007/612/materials/ The thing that pushes the materials out to the caselog on www.opensolaris.org hasn't run yet for this case, so the URL above doesn't exist at the moment. -Seb
